I have noticed that in the latest macOS update 12.3.1, you can finally disable Mac App Store notifications. The feature might be added in 12.3. I encourage you to disable them and update apps whenever you feel comfortable instead OS nagging you as soon as update arrives. I prefer to update apps once a week most often. And apps that have no release notes, I usually update as rarely as I can because they release update too often I and I prefer to combine them together.
